Night busses

I was in a small compartment with a few young men, the kind that you know have their shit together while still being huge party people. It was not entirely enclosed. They were meeting and I was not prepared. I reached into a bag and my ring slipped into the ocean. I felt so guilty for having lost my wedding ring before I'd even gotten married. The ocean was deep, but enclosed by rocks or a cliff. I feel there was a sunken ship-- or a submarine --in the vicinity. Then laura was on a ledge. In an enclosed space, maybe the one i used to isolate people. Smoking a cigarette. Looking at the view. I couldn't see it. I get the feeling there was something floating over us. Vaguely reminiscent of the city in the clouds from Gulliver's Travels. The one where people have one eye looking inward and one eye looking up. There were students around her. Younger than mine. Fun silly people. I was on the night bus. It was like the one from totoro. I had hoped to get straight up to campus. But I didn't know the root. It started to go farther away. We passed an amusement park and I was puzzled. It was knots maybe. I saw families, coming from a bowling alley. I thought to myself, look, people from the real world, escaping for a night out on the town.
thats all for now though.
