Dreams are the perfect medium for love.

Like stagnant water for disease ridden mosquitoes.

Thats probably why Dickinson preferred to wake at midnight dreaming of dawn.
Why the surmising robins were better.

Just accidentally inspired this poem:

Conjugation

The medium of love. Analogous to stagnant water for mosquitoes.
The bacteria they carry
tear clean in half,
But in a neat mitosis-- Each parent partitions half the parts of a child.

The ceremony of marriage ties. An event for white lace
Remembered over my mother’s neck, in the photo remains of a night
on an overstuffed bookshelf.
I learned from looking at my father, how to loop through his tie.
I was really good at lacing, and knew how to unlace too
Shoes sitting on the corner of the quilt, on what used to be a marriage bed
Now only in use for one.
I started with two bunny ears as a whole knot,
Then I learned how the bunny chases round the tree
And loops through the hole and then pulling it,
Apart was so easy
if you knew which string to pull.
